For many living with persistent headaches and neck pain, the cervical spine is the missing piece of the puzzle. Janelle specialises in cervicogenic headache and dizziness, working with clients whose head pain and neck symptoms originate from the upper cervical spine and have often gone unresolved for months or years. Her training as a Watson Headache Practitioner gives her a precise framework to map upper cervical alignment and target the root cause of neck pain, headaches, and dizziness.
Many arrive having seen multiple practitioners without a clear explanation for their symptoms. Janelle's goal is to change that. Using the Watson Headache Approach, she ensures every client leaves with a clear understanding of what is driving their pain and what can be done about it. Her expertise also extends to clients experiencing dizziness and balance disturbances, conditions that are frequently missed or mismanaged in conventional care.
Beyond headache and dizziness, Janelle provides comprehensive care for a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions. Grounded in her Doctor of Physiotherapy training, her approach integrates manual therapy, dry needling, myofascial release, and Clinical Pilates. Where appropriate, she incorporates VALD testing technology to track strength and movement benchmarks, providing clients with a measurable roadmap for sports rehabilitation and a safe return to sport.
Janelle has supported multiple Hong Kong Ballet productions, including serving as lead physiotherapist for Carmina Burana, the Shanghai tour in 2025. Working closely with professional dancers has deepened her understanding of load management, injury prevention, and the physical and psychological demands of performance. Based at Thrive in Wong Chuk Hang, she has become a trusted physiotherapist for young dancers from the Hong Kong Academy of Ballet, supporting their development through pre-pointe assessments and adolescent injury management.
Janelle believes that lasting recovery starts with truly understanding a client's story. She takes the time to listen, to explain, and to build a treatment approach that fits the person in front of her, not just the condition on the page.
Janelle offers her consultations fluently in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Janelle is based at Thrive, in Wong Chuk Hang.
