As a former elite karate athlete and Hong Kong team representative, Lori understands the body from the inside out. That experience, combined with her training in sports massage, myofascial release, and sports injury management, has shaped a therapist who works with rare instinct and depth, knowing exactly where to find tension and how to resolve it.
Lori's hands-on approach is instinctive, thorough, and unafraid to work through discomfort to get results. Drawing on deep tissue massage and myofascial release techniques, clients describe her as someone who knows the body instantly, works with precision and confidence, and understands that real progress often begins exactly where the tension is greatest.
Over four and a half years as a full-time member of the Hong Kong karate team, Lori competed at the highest levels of the sport, achieving a world ranking of 9th and representing Hong Kong at the 2014 Asian Games, the 2013 East Asian Championships, and the World Karate League. It was a serious knee injury early in her career, a torn meniscus and MCL sustained when her iliotibial band was too tight to allow her leg to straighten, that set the course of her professional life. Years of daily physiotherapy and rehabilitation taught her that most injuries are not inevitable. They are the result of muscles that are too tight and bodies that are not given enough time to rest. That insight drives everything she does in the treatment room today.
Beyond the clinic, Lori has served as massage therapist for professional rugby players at the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens in 2025 and 2026, and has worked closely with professional dancers from the Hong Kong Ballet, serving as primary massage therapist for StellaLou's Wonderful Wishes Ballet, a collaboration between Hong Kong Ballet and Disney. She continues to provide soft tissue treatment to company dancers today, supporting the physical demands of intensive rehearsals and live performance.
Outside of PhysioCentral, Lori coaches karate to both children and adults, keeping her closely connected to the world of athletic training and movement that has shaped her entire career.
Lori offers her services in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
