Michael was trained in Australia with degrees in physiotherapy and sport sciences. Given his background, he has an excellent understanding of human movement and anatomy. Michael was originally born in Macau and he is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
Michael's treatment approach includes manual therapy, myofascial release, dry needling, chiropractic manipulation, Pilates, and strength and conditioning. He is passionate about injury prevention and uses an active lifestyle ethos for recovery.
Michael has previously worked with various high-performance sports teams and athletes, including the Hong Kong Ballet, Macau elite triathletes, Kitchee Sports Club, and the Brisbane Bullets. He has designed and implemented fitness testing programs for performance athletes such as the Hong Kong Ballet dancers using VALD Performance, human measurement technologies, which use scientific data to analyse and understand how to improve movement and performance.
Michael has also collaborated with professional services firms on wellbeing programs such as scoliosis education, ergonomic workstation workshop, and onsite physiotherapy to promote health and wellness outside of the clinic. Some of his clients include Clifford Chance, AIA, DHL, and IBM.
