Charmaine is a paediatric physiotherapist known for her warm, enthusiastic approach and her ability to build genuine rapport with children and their families. She supports babies, children, and adolescents across a range of developmental and neurological needs, creating a safe and engaging environment where children can build confidence, skills, and independence.
Born and raised in Sydney, Charmaine graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Australia and has since focused her clinical practice on paediatric physiotherapy in Hong Kong. She currently works with families in Central, and has experience across local settings including the Hong Kong Jockey Club, special needs ESF school, and private clinics, giving her a strong understanding of the local healthcare and education landscape.
Charmaine has experience supporting children with physical disabilities, special needs, and neurodivergent profiles such as autism and ADHD, as well as neurological conditions including cerebral palsy. She also works with children presenting with congenital conditions such as torticollis, plagiocephaly, hip dysplasia, and talipes. Her care is guided by each child’s developmental stage, individual goals, and family context.
She is trained in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Therapy and incorporates neuroplasticity-focused techniques where appropriate to support motor development and functional progress. Her sessions are grounded in evidence-based practice and guided by purposeful play, often lively and filled with laughter while remaining focused on meaningful developmental outcomes.
Collaboration is central to Charmaine’s approach. She works closely with families, teachers, and other health professionals, and can deliver care in both Cantonese and English, supporting clear communication for families seeking a paediatric physiotherapist in Central Hong Kong.
Charmaine values being part of each child’s developmental journey and is committed to helping children build confidence, independence, and functional movement over time.
