Shari is a Canadian trained Medical Acupuncturist/Massage Therapist with over 20 years of experience. Since graduating from Northumberland College in 1999, she has worked closely with orthopaedic surgeons, family medicine physicians, physio and occupational therapists in a variety of sports medicine/rehabilitation clinics in Canada.

She enjoys teaching and passing on her extensive experience and knowledge to others. Shari has taught courses in Anatomy/Physiology, Nutrition, Kinesiology and Massage Therapy Techniques for 4 years at Everest College in Canada. She was also on the staff for Continuing Education Studies at McMaster University in Canada, as an instructor/examiner for their Medical Acupuncture program. In Hong Kong, she has developed and taught pregnancy massage courses.

As a former competitive swimmer, she understands the importance of preventative therapies to keep athletes performing at an optimal level. She has worked with many athletes (adults and children) on a regular basis to keep them injury free including ultrathoners, marathoners, triathletes, cyclists, dancers, and swimmers.

Her practice consists of medical acupuncture and Swedish Massage Therapy in conjunction with modalities such as ultrasound, manual lymph drainage, myofascial release and KT taping. She manages and treats sports and work related injuries such as tennis elbow, and sciatica. She also has a keen interest in pre and post natal massage (including acupuncture for induction) and stress management (including treatment for migraines and tension headaches).
