Soft Tissue Therapist


Ron is an Australian-trained soft tissue therapist who has been in the industry for 30 years. Whilst working at one of Australia’s leading sports medicine clinics he treated basketball players from national teams alongside a variety of elite athletes as well as the general public. During this time he also worked for North Melbourne Football Club (AFL Premier League).

Following this, Ron was appointed as the principal soft tissue therapist for The Australian Ballet. This was an eight-year full-time position that included touring within Australia as well as internationally for seven months of the year. During this time he was awarded the Lady Southey AM, Lieutenant Governor of Victoria Scholarship, the sabbatical included 6 weeks of international travel to study the latest techniques and trends in musculoskeletal medicine.
Ron also developed a new pain-relieving technique on the dancers and after leaving the ballet he presented this technique to health care professionals in various countries, as well as at sporting clubs and conferences. Ron became a co-investigator for three randomised controlled trials (PhD) at Deakin University, Australia.

In his downtime, Ron is a keen runner and enjoys swimming at the beach and hiking but mainly in the Hong Kong cooler months.
