Katie Palmer is a University trained Clinical Musculoskeletal Myotherapist who completed her qualifications in 2002 at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia. In 2010 Katie also completed her Masters of Applied Science (Musculoskeletal Management) at RMIT University and is a registered with the Institute of Registered Myotherapist’s Association (IRMA).

Since 2002, Katie has worked with various highly respected leading multidisciplinary Sports Medicine Practices in Melbourne and Hong Kong. Katie has worked extensively with PGA golf professionals on the Australasian and European Tours, Club Golfers and Elite Amateur Athletes. Australian Football League (AFL) with Melbourne and St.Kilda Football Club’s, the National basketball League (NBL) and the Australian Cricket Team. Katie has also been a regular guest speaker for various associations and clubs speaking on topics from posture to performance to specific injury rehabilitation.

Katie’s main professional interest’s are the varied methods of diagnosing and treating sports and recreational injuries as well as occupational overuse injuries. Her particular interests include neck, shoulder, elbow , Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunctions (TMJ), back & hip pain. Since completing her Masters Katie also has a special interest in chronic pain and headaches.

Katie works with pre and post partum women together with our in-house highly experienced Pilates Physiotherapists. Katie has a specific interest and experience with women recovering from a Caesarean birth.

As a working mum Katie believes that the work, family and fitness balance is imperative for a healthy lifestyle.
